Marco Galiazzo, visited the CTTAM PDF Print E-mail


On 21st of May, the Olympic champion Marco Galiazzo, visited the Excellence Archery Center of Madrid. The Italian archer joined the actual and future promising archers, and shared his experiences, especially from the last Olympic Games of Athens 2004, where he achieved to win the gold medal.


On that purpose the video of his participation in the Greek finals was projected. The archers seized the opportunity to ask directly to Marco all their queries regarding his technique that led him up to the highest position of the podium.
Marco willingly contested all the archers´ questions and doubts, above all questions about the technique and how to achieve the highest possible performance in this type of competitions, where the concentration is a fundamental element in order to exceed the pressure.




One of the most gratifying moments of the gala, was the possibility to train by the champions´ side. Marco demonstrated his skill with the bow, and shared the field with the archers of the center. His advices, his experience and his sports quality was of a great help for the formation of of the athletes of Madrid.

 

 

 

On Sunday, the Italian champion shared his knowledge with the regional and national coaches. The coaches had the opportunity to ask Marco about teaching/learning methods used in the high training level in order to be able to improve the formation of the future champions in Spain. These methods are the result of the evolution of the various European school of archery and in this case of the Italian school which for many years now has been the crib of excellent archers.
